Job purpose
Under the supervision of the Director of Casino Services, the incumbent is responsible for enrolling members into the Player’s Club, embossing and issuing club cards, assisting with promotions and events, transporting supplies and forms and assisting club members with questions, redemptions, and special requests.
Duties and responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the IGB Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of this ICS.
- Build and maintain relationships with guests and market our gaming product and amenities to valued guests.
- Solicit and identify new gaming customers on the casino floor. Generate new business by signing up qualified guests for the Players’ Club.
- Greet and interact with guests in the casino in a courteous and professional manner.
- Promote Golden Nugget Casino by communicating with guests in an enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of player tracking system, promotions, events, entertainment, and general property information.
- Assists with the planning and execution of marketing events, promotions, and player events as requested.
- Run marketing reports as required.
- Load offers to players’ accounts.
- Create and issue Players Club cards and promote the program and related promotions.
- Maintain integrity of database by following precise standards of data entry.
- Ensure the protection of customer’s rewards and credit lines.
- Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, energetic, and efficient manner. Provide guests with information concerning the casino and services.
- Interact by phone on a daily basis with former, current, and prospective guests to inform them of current and upcoming casino promotions, packages, concerts, shows, and related information.
- Perform any duties on or off-site involving guest services and quality control including, but not limited to, special events, guest giveaways, crowd control, property cleanliness, and other hospitality functions as needed.
- Safeguard the confidential nature of all departmental and company records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least six (6) months guest service, telemarketing, or retail sales experience required or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Ability to obtain a gaming license.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have solid planning, time management, decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours and occasionally travel.
