Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time occupational therapy opportunity is available for a licensed or license-eligible professional to support students in a K-12 school setting in Aurora, IL. This contract role spans the school years with a scheduled start orientation on August 4th and 5th, and the first official workday on August 11th through May 22nd, 2026. The position involves a 37.5-hour workweek focused on enhancing student participation in classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student engagement in classroom tasks by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Modify tasks and environmental factors to acmodate individual student needs
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments as appropriate
- Prepare thorough and insightful reports based on student evaluations and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and acmodations
- Collaborate and municate effectively with parents, teachers, and team members regarding student progress and areas needing support
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state occupational therapy license
- Strong munication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility and problem-solving capabilities in dynamic educational environments
