Med/Surg RN Job Details – Peoria, IL

• Location: Peoria, IL 61636 – Central Illinois healthcare jobs with access to parks, cultural attractions, and a vibrant downtown.
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 29, 2025 – December 27, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (MMC-6C MED - SURG)
• Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, Travel Registered Nurse
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,090 - $2,140

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver professional, compassionate nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on patient needs and ongoing evaluation
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all clinical activities and patient care
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards in the healthcare environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Engage in ongoing professional development and provide support to fellow nursing staff
• Meet all departmental competencies and compliance requirements
