AEM PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Mettawa, Illinois

Compensation Range: $35 - 41 per hour


Our client in the biopharmaceutical industry is looking for a Digital Project Manager to join the Digital Lab Web Channels team which operates in a fast-paced, agency-style environment. This role is responsible for delivering a wide range of digital tactics, including websites, email, banners, and apps, within a highly regulated industry.


The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of web projects on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, acting as a key liaison between client stakeholders, agency partners, and internal cross-functional teams (Creative, Strategy, Development, and QA).



Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive view of all active web projects within assigned therapeutic areas, partnering with specialists to drive project velocity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work daily with integrated teams to proactively identify risks and ensure on-time delivery of digital assets.
• Process Improvement: Identify, document, and troubleshoot technical or procedural issues; recommend and implement process-based solutions.
• Strategic Delivery: Leverage a deep understanding of the AEM Authoring environment and enterprise publishing workflows to advise on the best delivery strategies.
• Compliance Support: Assist web specialists with regulatory submission tasks (Veeva) and track status through the approval lifecycle.
• Communication Leadership: Lead status calls efficiently, highlighting potential risks and identifying synergies between concurrent projects.
• Resource Estimation: Support the project estimation process by coordinating with technical teams and web specialists.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience managing enterprise websites, including migrations and online production using AEM or similar CMS.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in Pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
• Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of responsive web development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UX conventions, SEO, and accessibility standards.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience with project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Trello, Workfront) and Google Workspace/MS Office.
• Methodology: Exposure to Agile development processes and experience with Veeva is a significant plus.
