Capgemini America, Inc. hasmultiple openings for the position of Lead Infrastructure Consultant based outof its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at variousunanticipated locations.

S/he will perform the following duties:

• design andimplement Simple and Ad-hoc project work requests;
• provide on-call cover andout of hours support;
• monitor servers, address any issues raised and ensurethat contracted services are met;
• develop and implement service improvements;
• coordinate activities related to the infrastructure (network,telecommunications, basic software, hardware, servers) and database, involvingthe definition, development and maintenance of procedures, as well asoverseeing the study and implementation of new processes and techniques for thearea;
• perform application support and maintenance for Portfolio Accounting DataRepository;
• maintain production environment for critical regulatory reportingissues and provide quick resolution;
• execute root cause analysis and fixrecurring issues for an error-free production environment;
• and perform trendanalysis to fix bugs and enhance current functionality.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’sdegree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications,Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration,Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 3 years of experiencein the job offered, as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer,Systems Analyst, or related IT position. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, theemployer deems that the suitable combination of education, training or experienceacceptable is 3 years of study towards U.S. bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems,Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus 3years of IT experience. The applicant must also have: any period of experiencedeveloping and delivering solutions to support infrastructure systems; anyperiod of experience coordinating activities related to database, involving thedefinition, development and maintenance of procedures; any period of experienceexecuting OS support, including faultdiagnosis and fix; any period of experience with application support andmaintenance for Portfolio Accounting data repository; any period of experienceperforming root cause analysis by debugging, modifying, developing andmaintaining production and test environments; any period of experienceconducting trend analysis to fix bugs and enhance current functionality.
