Lead Line Cook
Position: Lead Line Cook (Weekends)
Location: Bunker, The Duncan — Chicago, IL
Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, starting at 3pm
Bunker is your neighborhood bar with a killer patio, cold drinks, and a solid food game. We’re looking for a weekend warrior — a reliable, experienced Lead Line Cook to hold it down in the kitchen every Saturday and Sunday.
What You’ll Do:
Run a solo shift in the kitchen on weekend evenings
Execute and plate food orders quickly and consistently
Follow Bunker’s house recipes with accuracy and pride
Prep key ingredients for the shift and for future service
Keep the station clean and organized from open to close
Communicate clearly with the front-of-house runner/server to keep the flow moving
Monitor quality and manage ticket times during busy rushes
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
Comfortable working solo — you’ll be the one on the line
Strong prep skills and ability to follow recipes
Punctual, professional, and ready to lead by example
Food Handler certified (or willing to get it)
Cool under pressure and into neighborhood bar vibes
Pay & Perks:
$23/hr + tips

Buscamos a un cocinero de fin de semana: un jefe de cocina confiable y con experiencia para que se encargue de la cocina todos los sábados y domingos. Qué harás: Trabajar solo en la cocina los fines de semana por la noche. Ejecutar y emplatar los pedidos de comida con rapidez y constancia. Seguir las recetas de la casa de Bunker con precisión y orgullo. Preparar los ingredientes clave para el turno y para futuros servicios. Mantener la estación limpia y organizada desde la apertura hasta el cierre. Comunicarse claramente con el encargado/camarero para mantener el flujo de trabajo. Supervisar la calidad y gestionar los tiempos de los tickets durante las horas punta. Lo que buscamos: Más de 2 años de experiencia en una cocina de ritmo rápido. Que te sientas cómodo trabajando solo: serás quien esté al mando. Sólidas habilidades de preparación y capacidad para seguir recetas. Puntual, profesional y dispuesto a dar el ejemplo. Certificado de Manipulador de Alimentos (o en proceso de obtenerlo). Tranquilo bajo presión y con ambiente de bar de barrio. Salario y beneficios: $23/hora + propinas.
