Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote early childhood development.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity among students.
• Manage classroom activities, ensuring that all children are engaged and participating in learning experiences.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the overall educational goals of the preschool.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Lead Teacher Skills:

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Experience in childcare settings such as daycare or nannying is highly valued.
• Ability to educate young children through creative teaching methods tailored to their developmental stages.
• Experience working with students in various capacities including babysitting or caregiving roles is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children are essential qualities for success in this role.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Creative Curriculum and best practices in early education.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Lead classroom management with confidence, using positive behavior-support strategies.
• Collaborate with other educators to design and refine curriculum materials.
• Communicate effectively with families about each child’s progress and milestones.
• Mentor and support teaching staff (for Assistant Director candidates) and help maintain licensing compliance and daily operations.
• Participate actively in school events, enrichment programs, and community activities .

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• DCFS-qualified Lead Teacher or Director credentials (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 1 year of classroom leadership experience .
• Strong knowledge of child development, classroom management, and curriculum planning.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for helping young learners grow in a positive and supportive environment.
