Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: New York, NY 10003
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team for a temporary 3-month assignment. The PTA will implement patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring consistent communication, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Administer treatments based on the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment.
Communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding patient status and plan updates.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Notify supervising therapist promptly of any changes in patient condition.
Provide input on durable medical equipment needs in coordination with the care team.
Participate in discharge planning and therapy continuation recommendations.
Attend team meetings, conferences, in-services, and rounds as required.
Participate in the supervision and mentorship of PTA students during clinical placements.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of New York
Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
