Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager with 7–10 years of experience to oversee the company’s financial operations in collaboration with our outsourced accounting firm. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting department leaders with their purchasing and operational financial needs, and enforcing company-wide finance policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

• Collaborate with outsourced accountants to maintain accurate general ledger and financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Business Partnership & Cross-functional Support:

• Serve as the primary liaison between finance and other departments
• Partner with department heads to evaluate purchasing needs, cost efficiency, and capability investments
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational decision-making

Policy Enforcement & Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and enforce internal finance policies, procedures, and controls
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit inquiries

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting
• Drive adoption of finance best practices across the organization
• Help implement or optimize accounting and ERP systems, as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting
• Proven experience working with or managing outsourced accounting relationships
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Prior experience with healthcare and non-profit accounting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally
• Prior experience with Sage Intacct is highly preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
• Problem solver with a service mindset
• Comfortable navigating both high-level planning and day-to-day operations
