Thriving professional consulting firm providing land surveying, land planning and development, civil, water/wastewater, construction, and structural engineering services actively seeks Senior Civil Engineer / Water Resources Engineer to join our Decatur, IL; Paris, IL; or Rockford, IL office.

As a Sr. Civil Engineer (Water / Waste Utilities) you will work alongside professionals dedicated to planning, developing, and designing with an emphasis on water and wastewater utilities and infrastructure projects.
Senior Civil Engineer / Water Resources Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- At least 8+ years of civil engineering design experience pertaining to municipal water and wastewater projects (Municipal Water & Wastewater Utilities Infrastructure)
- Past experience with rural water systems is a plus (experience with projects pertaining to how rural areas get fresh water and get rid of wastewater)
- Have a Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Have proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois is desired, although not required. We are also open to applicants that currently have their EIT certification and are on track to obtain their PE in the near future
- Must have strong technical, oral and writing communication and presentation skills
- Must want to work in a collaborative team oriented environment
Senior Civil Engineer / Water Resources Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
- You will collaborate with our top-notch team of civil engineers, technicians, planners, administrators, and allied professionals across our offices.
- Manage engineering tasks such as project planning to final design and construction observation for water and wastewater system projects
- Be responsible for project plans, funding applications, design of treatment systems, pump design, lift station design, shop drawing review, piping design, and well design
- Engage and communicate with clients throughout projects and beyond
- Collaborate with project team to identify solutions to design and funding challenges.
