Clinical Nursing Supervisor - Emergency Department

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Overview

As a Clinical Supervisor , you’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care and operations in designated areas. You’ll serve as a clinical resource for both staff and patients, and step into a staff nurse role when needed. You’ll also take on managerial responsibilities as delegated by the department manager.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience:

• • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience required.

Licensure:

• Must hold a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
