Board Liaison
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Preferred experience working with boards, executive leaders, or in a nonprofit administrative or governance role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to various audiences
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including donors, board members, and senior leaders
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
- Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
- Serve as the primary communication link between the board and staff leadership, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared.
- Attend and support all required board and committee meetings across all regions-including Champaign, Rockford, Iowa, Chicago. Ensuring accurate preparation, in-person or virtual participation as assigned, and follow-through on meeting logistics and action items. Ability and willingness to travel to board meetings required.
- Maintain accurate board member records and manage required document collection/signatures.
- Strengthen board engagement by maintaining consistent communication and keeping board members connected to the mission.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for board participation in events, fundraising, and mission-focused activities.
- Support board recruitment and onboarding, including orientation facilitation.
- Track action items from board and committee meetings to ensure accountability and follow-through.
- Support implementation of governance best practices and assist with board self-assessments.
- Partner with development staff to support board involvement in fundraising activities and assist with events as needed.
- Serve as part of the Foundation team and assist with special projects as requested.
- Engage professionally with high-level donors and board members.
- Provide direct support to the President of The Rosecrance Foundation including calendar management, meeting preparation, travel coordination, and project tracking and deadlines.
- Exercise confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and organizational policy.
- Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Serve as a positive representation of the agency.
- Assume other related duties as assigned by leadership.
- Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Shift: 1st
- Starting Salary: $85,000/year
