Job Summary:
Under close supervision, this position is responsible for the assembly and installation of products while providing a safe, efficient, and courteous delivery to our customers. Assist in helping load and unload items and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle and installation site. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes but is not limited to day, night, and/or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Help assemble and install products for all customers and manufacturers within a home location or job site

Properly assemble products per manufacturer's specifications, test for proper functionality and load, unload, and install safely, according to local codes and standards without damage to the product or customer location

Identify and resolve any issues in a professional and effective manner to ensure a positive outcome

Interact with coworkers/customers in a professional and fast-paced environment to ensure customer needs are met while building a strong working relationship with a positive attitude

Understand and promote all JBHT safety requirements including the required use of personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of self and co-workers; adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure the job site is safe for product installation and free from hazards and obstructions that could endanger workers or damage the delivery site

Assist with project execution through effective communication to improve operational efficiency and profitability
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

18+ years of age
-
Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in installing appliances, manual or physical labor, construction site preferred, and/or military equivalent experience
-
Possess a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards
-
Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move product up to 100 pounds or greater)
-
Ability to wear appropriate work attire (bump cap, footwear-steel toed shoes, gloves, safety vest)
-
Customer service skills
-
Experience in material handling
-
Experience installing large, bulky equipment
-
Willingness to work flexible workdays and hours
-
Experience utilizing hand and power tools
-
Travel up to 50% (75% during busy peak season - out of state, and overnight stays)
This position will travel overnight stays and out of state.
The expected starting salary for this position is $19.70 per hour.
This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

The Company offers the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, as may be in effect from time to time: medical benefit, dental benefit, vision benefit, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off commensurate with tenure (includes vacation and sick time), six weeks of paid maternity leave along with two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
