Job Summa r y: P r ovides di r ect ca r e to patients in a gene r al medical-su r gical setting. Manages a va r iety of medical conditions, assists with post-ope r ative r ecove r y, pe r fo r ms assessments, administe r s medications, and ensu r es patient comfo r t and well-being.
Key R esponsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient ca r e.
Monito r vital signs and patient status.
P r ovide p r e- and post-ope r ative ca r e, wound ca r e, and pain management.
Administe r medications and t r eatments, obse r ving fo r r eactions.
Maintain accu r ate patient r eco r ds and collabo r ate with physicians and ca r e teams.
Educate patients and families on ca r e plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
Adhe r e to infection cont r ol and safety p r otocols.
R espond to eme r gencies and assist in life-saving p r ocedu r es as needed.
R equi r ements:
R N license in state of assignment.
BLS r equi r ed ; ACLS p r efe r r ed.
Expe r ience in medical-su r gical units p r efe r r ed.
St r ong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
Wo r k Envi r onment & Demands:
Hospital settings (Med-Su r g units, post-op r ecove r y, step-down).
R otating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays.
Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and st r ess management.
