Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II with an advanced understanding of mechanical disciplines and equipment. This role requires a strong foundation in sustainable design practices and expertise in plastic injection molded part design using Creo Parametric. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging, and conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.

• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

• Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.

• Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

• Advanced understanding of mechanical disciplines and equipment.

• Strong understanding of sustainable design practices.

• Advanced knowledge of plastic injection molded part design in Creo Parametric.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modeling in Creo.

• Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding.

• Proficiency in drafting, FEA, product testing, and understanding of electromechanical systems and printers.

Work Environment

The work environment is an office setting within a research and development and engineering design location. The office is described as very nice, with a few test labs in the building, but no manufacturing facilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
