Regional Sales Specialist | Chicago
Responsible for sales of a medical device the representative will call on a combination of physician office and hospitals, selling a new product in the Endoscopic Sinus Surgery market to ENT’s , and other applications/areas needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for direct sales calls, initiating and implementing clinical product evaluations and post-sale follow-up including in-servicing and contract management .
- Develop and implement a territory sales & marketing plan that will assure meeting or exceeding sales quota; review results periodically and take corrective action as needed.
- Create and implement appropriate sales strategies and tactics to meet changing conditions and specific marketing challenges in assigned territory.
- Attend and participate in local and national professional shows/conventions as required; assist in equipment coordination, set-up and product demonstration.
- Complete and submit required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain vendor qualifications.
- Provide in-service education, training and technical support to customers when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with medical staff.
- Knowledge of clinical monitoring procedures and product evaluations/ sales process.
- Demonstrated experience successfully getting products approved in accounts.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the company and product.
- Well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
- High energy and professionalism.
- Availability to travel frequently (50% or more).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/Life Sciences/ Communication or related field.
- 2+ years' experience as a Sales Specialist in acute care and ENT’s.
- Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above.
