Lead Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead solution design for complex, cross-functional features spanning UI, APIs, data flows, and third-party integrations
- Drive UI modernization initiatives using React and Next.js, prioritizing usability, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Architect and deliver scalable backend services and event-driven integrations to support platform reliability and growth
- Collaborate with Product to translate requirements into structured epics, estimate effort, and sequence delivery efficiently
- Champion engineering quality through code reviews, testing strategies, observability standards, and security best practices
- Mentor engineers at multiple levels and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate productivity and predictable delivery
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications in complex environments
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend development with hands-on experience in React, Next.js, or equivalent frameworks
- Solid backend and API design skills, including microservices architecture and robust REST API development
- Practical experience with event-driven systems, messaging concepts, and relational or non-relational database management
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and partner with product teams on delivery planning
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code to enhance development workflow

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $120,000 - $173,000. In addition, the details highlighted in this job posting above are a general description of all other expected benefits and compensation for the position.
