Lawrence Fish Market Chinatown is hiring an experienced Server / Cashier to join our front-of-house team. We are a casual, fast-paced sushi restaurant focused on fresh, high-quality sushi, friendly service, and a smooth guest experience.

We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate has restaurant or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.

• Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately.

• Communicate clearly with the sushi bar, kitchen team, and managers.

• Answer guest questions about sushi, rolls, party trays, menu items, pricing, and specials.

• Pack and check takeout orders carefully to make sure items are correct.

• Run food, clear tables, refill drinks, and support teammates when needed.

• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service areas, and dining room sections.

• Handle payments, receipts, and basic cashier duties accurately.

• Manage guest requests, questions, and concerns with care and professionalism.

• Follow restaurant standards for service, timing, cleanliness, and guest experience.

• Help keep the restaurant running smoothly during busy shifts.

Requirements

• Prior restaurant, cashier, server, or customer service experience preferred.

• Sushi, Japanese restaurant, or fast-paced takeout experience is a plus.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and busy shifts.

• Able to multitask while staying organized and professional.

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Basic knowledge of sushi, Japanese food, or takeout service is a plus.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
