Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Suburban Surgery Center
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
Suburban Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support physicians in both clinical and procedural settings, and ensure continuity of care from consultation through post-operative follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical exams
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Manage and monitor patient progress, addressing any complications or concerns
• Perform minor procedures as appropriate within scope of practice
• Complete and manage prescription authorizations and documentation (e.g., CoverMyMeds)
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Assist in surgical operations

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or relevant specialty)
• Minimum [1–2] years of clinical experience preferred (surgical or outpatient setting a plus)
• Strong knowledge of pre- and post-operative care
• Experience with insurance authorizations and EMR systems preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
