Job Title: PM Line Cook

Noodlebird is looking for a dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a fast-casual restaurant in Logan Square serving live-fire BBQ, handmade noodles and dumplings, and seasonal dishes made from scratch.

We're looking for someone who works well with others, stays organized during service, and takes pride in putting out consistent food. Wok experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person with a solid kitchen background.

Position Details

Schedule: Full-time, Wednesday–Sunday (required)
Hours: 1:00 PM–10:30 PM

Experience Required: At least 2 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant. Wok experience is preferred but not required.

Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock your station before service

• Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and standards

• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout service

• Communicate with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly

• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures

• Complete prep and closing tasks as assigned

• Properly label, store, and rotate products using FIFO

• Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of line cook experience

• Able to work cleanly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work every scheduled shift

• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

• Comfortable taking direction and open to feedback

• Someone who takes ownership of their station and their work
