Welder - 2nd Shift at Manpower summary:

Second-shift welder operates and calibrates automated MIG/MAG welding machines, monitors processes, and adjusts parameters to ensure consistent weld quality. Responsibilities include loading/unloading parts, reading basic blueprints, verifying welds with measuring tools, reporting equipment or process issues, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Candidate should have prior manufacturing experience, basic welding and computer skills, and preferably experience with automated welding equipment and overhead crane operation.

2nd Shift WELDER
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Set up, calibrate, and operate automated MIG/MAG welding machines.

· Monitor automated welding processes to ensure consistent weld quality.

· Adjust welding parameters such as voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire feed speed, and travel speed as required.

· Load and unload parts using fixtures, tooling, and material handling equipment.

· Identify and report machine, tooling, or process issues to minimize downtime.

· Follow production schedules and work instructions.

· Read and interpret basic blueprints and job documentation.

· Verify parts and weld quality using measuring tools as required.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Support cross-training and assist in other production areas as needed.

Skills:

· Basic understanding of welding principles and automated welding processes.

· Ability to operate automated production equipment.

· Basic computer skills.

· Ability to read and follow work instructions.

· Strong attention to detail and quality.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.

· Experience with automated welding equipment preferred.

· Overhead crane or industrial lifting experience preferred.

Education and Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.

· Experience with automated welding equipment preferred.
