Overview
Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel) in New Lenox, Illinois. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,174 to $2,325. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour shifts. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a cardiovascular intensive care unit specialty.

Responsibilities
- Assess physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of CVICU patients and plan nursing care to address those needs.
- Lead and coordinate nursing care to ensure care plans are implemented by the team.
- Conduct patient evaluations, document progress, contribute to treatment planning, and assist with discharge planning.
- Monitor post-operative cardiac patients, manage hemodynamics, and respond to changes with escalation as needed.
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and established protocols; ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Cerner experience strongly preferred).

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois; license must be active at time of submission.
- Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience; open-heart experience required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS must be active at submission.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccination and influenza vaccination required; declinations will not be approved.
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program; current RN licensure in Illinois.
- Additional preferences: Prior Cerner experience strongly preferred; thoracic, vascular, or interventional CVICU experience preferred.
- Submission must include: IL nursing license copy, resume, to include two supervisory references, active certifications, and confirmation of COVID card/status.
