Occupational Therapist [81515] (Lake County)

Onward Search Education connects educators, therapists, and school professionals with schools nationwide. We’re partnering with a district in Cook County, IL to hire an Occupational Therapist for Extended School Year (ESY) services.This role involves supporting students across EC–12 with fine motor and sensory needs in a collaborative school setting.

Position Details

• Location: In-person, Cook County, IL
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m
• Duration: June 15, 2026 – July 26, 2026
• Age Group: EC–12th grade

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to support students’ fine motor and sensory processing skills.
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collect and analyze data on student IEP goals and progress.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, families, and IEP teams.
• Complete fine motor and sensory profile evaluations and write detailed reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Occupational Therapist Licensure.
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple student needs and priorities effectively.
• Commitment to supporting student growth and independence.
