Fuel Equipment Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Fuel Equipment Estimator to join our Sales Department. In this role, you will work closely with our sales team to estimate equipment for projects in the petroleum industry. Your expertise will be crucial in capturing information and quoting appropriate equipment to ensure project success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Prepare detailed bid/quotation estimates for petroleum industry projects

- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documentation to develop comprehensive cost estimates

- Collaborate with sales staff to gather necessary information for accurate equipment quotations

- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work

- Maintain current industry pricing and benchmarking data to support cost estimating

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 2 years of experience in an estimating or project management role within the general construction or petroleum field

- A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required.

- Preferred experience: project management experience or petroleum industry experience, construction industry, proficiency with cost estimating software and/or Microsoft Excel, familiarity with construction practices, price and procedures, vendor management, procurement, construction management, and use of personal computers and smartphones.

- Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new software systems

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

EDUCATION

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction, or related field; or a combination of four years of education, training, and experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Based on customer location and work needed. Working in all-weather types.
