Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Clinical laboratory Technologist. You will perform complex laboratory procedures to aid in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. The technologist ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established laboratory policies, regulatory standards, and quality control measures.

Job Description

• Perform routine and specialized microbiology testing, including culture, identification, and susceptibility testing of microorganisms.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and automated systems used in microbiological testing.
• Evaluate and validate test results, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of reports.
• Adhere to all infection control, biosafety, and quality assurance standards.
• Participate in proficiency testing, quality improvement activities, and ongoing laboratory accreditation compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding test results and specimen handling.
• Provide guidance to laboratory technicians, interns, and new staff as needed.

Skills Required

• At least 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Familiarity with automated microbiology systems and molecular diagnostic methods is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required.
• BLS preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
• Shift Time: 4:00 PM-12:00 AM

Pay Rate

• $58.00 per hour
