What You'll Do

As a Machinist, you'll work independently and collaboratively to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Working from verbal/written instructions, diagrams, models, and drawings
• Inspecting machining operations and finished parts with precision tools
• Troubleshooting and correcting complex machine malfunctions
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning on machines
• Setting up and running various machines, including older-style CNC equipment
• Performing deburring, grinding, calibration, and machine setup
• Operating CNC machines used in production processes
• Communicating clearly with team members and reporting issues promptly

What You Bring

• Ability to read and follow clear instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills in a machining environment
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Reliable work ethic, good focus, and consistent attendance
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• Comfortable working with oils, coolants, and lubricants
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience using calipers, indicators, tape measures, and other inspection tools

Preferred Experience

(Not required but highly valued)

• CNC machine setup and operation
• Machine troubleshooting, changeovers, and general machine operation knowledge
• Bilingual is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marengo, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
