How you'll make an impactGallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Cash Application Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of financial operations. As a Senior Cash Application Specialist, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cash application processes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly process incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, etc.) to client accounts.
- Investigate and reconcile payment discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and clients to resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of cash application activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments, ensuring all accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
- Oversee and manage the activities of the GCOE Cash Application Team, fostering collaboration and driving efficiency. Streamline processes to enhance productivity and ensure seamless operations.
- Partner with collections and accounts receivable teams to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cash application activities to support decision-making.
- Assist with audits by providing accurate documentation and insights as needed.
Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
