Job Title: Licensed Pharmacist
Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, IL 60527

Pay Rate: $65/hr (Paid Weekly)
Allmed Benefits: Vision Insurance, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and 401(k)
Schedule: Monday - Friday and Sat/Sun as needed - Hours 9pm-7am overnight and 7pm-7am on the weekends. Only needed up to 40 hours Contract: 02/16/2026 to 05/30/2026

Position Overview

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within our dispensing pharmacy. The pharmacist provides routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems. You will work collaboratively with other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure that medications are verified and sent out to meet the 2pm and 2am release goal times for our long-term care facilities. Answering phone calls, emails, responding to billing requests and data entry requests, checking cubex machines, checking kits such as fridge and IV kits.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines
• Ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all DEA policies and procedures and third-party payer contract rules and regulations
• Supervise the pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules
• Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders; verify content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
• Preparation and/or supervision of all sterile IV drug products or solutions
• Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; maintain perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
• Provide evening and weekend coverage as required
• Ensure all crushed/dropped medications are properly segregated for destruction or disposal as RCRA hazardous waste or non-RCRA waste in accordance with applicable USEPA and State waste regulations
• Ensure workflow dashboard is cleared daily
  
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Current pharmacy license in good standing (Illinois)
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
• Proficient in clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions and allergies
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform accurately and efficiently when dispensing prescription medications
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Effective multitasking abilities
