POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), this position is a key strategic business partner to the President of the US Ceilings (and the rest of the Ceilings business team). The position focuses on the initiation and implementation of strategies to boost sales and earnings, actively participates in key business initiatives, and identifyies business issues and opportunities. S/He will operate as a strong business partner leading this business through continued expansion/growth and business development while driving efficiency in all operations. This position provides leadership in business analysis and financial data analytics. This role will manage annual financial budgets and plans, complete periodic forecasts and be a part of the strategic operating plan for the business.
The Director, Ceilings FP&A will possess broad-minded business acumen to provide leadership to impact the business beyond the finance function. S/He must be able to effectively lead and represent the business as needed and engage other leaders to achieve strategic and financial goals. This position focuses on both the business and financial strategy.
S/He will develop tools and frameworks to evaluate business operations and strategic initiatives.
In addition, this position will operate cross-functionally across the FP&A and Finance organization. The Director, Ceilings FP&A will lead a team of 6 individuals, and will champion efforts to drive increased employee engagement across the entire team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will be a leader within both the FP&A and US Ceilings business teams. A focus on continuous improvement, teamwork, and delivering results will be critical. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Partner with the US Ceilings leadership team to manage the financial P&L.
Provide all aspects of financial and business analysis support lead the monthly reporting and analysis of the financial statements for the Ceilings business unit.
Act as financial liaison between the operating business and corporate accounting and finance functions.
Compile the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the Ceilings business unit.
Translate industry data into insights that will drive business decisions in support of USGs strategy.
Develop and maintain financial models to support financial planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing.
Direct and support various initiatives to improve and enhance financial processes, data visualization, and reporting in conjunction with current systems/tools and evaluation of new technology solutions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
At least 15 years of experience in finance and/or accounting is required, in roles of increasing complexity and responsibility.
o Relevant skills include variance analysis, DCF/IRR, and financial modeling.
Solid academic credentials, including a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA is but not required.
Experience in an operationally complex, product-oriented business at scale.
Experience with Hyperion Planning and/or Oracle is a plus.
Leadership Competencies and Skills
Strong operating finance and planning skills are required. S/He will have experience leading a well-respected FP&A function. This will include the ability to oversee efforts to ensure strong financial controls are in place throughout the company.
This executive must be an effective communicator and have strong relationship (team building) skills. S/He will be driven to see tangible results, able to push for results but also collaborate with others to drive them. This executive will be a good listener who seeks out and hears the point of view of others but not afraid to voice his/her own.
The candidate will have very strong strategic agility and the ability to contribute beyond the core finance and accounting disciplines. S/He must have outstanding analytic skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to engage with other senior leaders in addressing complex business issues.
This person will come from an enterprise known for developing outstanding financial talent and will have a demonstrated track record of building and leading high functioning teams through recruitment and development. S/He must possess a hands-on and proactive style, while still able to delegate authority as appropriate.
This leader must be able to work with large volumes of data, summarize the data, draw conclusions, and effectively communicate insights and takeaways in a timely fashion.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
