Contract Length: 43 weeks
We are seeking a School Psychologist for a school-based position in Palatine, IL , supporting students in a high school and transition-age program (ages 18-22) . This role offers flexibility for part-time or full-time schedules , with final caseload determined based on availability and interview discussion.
The School Psychologist will provide psychological services, participate in evaluations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student transition and post-secondary readiness.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Paid Hours: Approximately 32.5 per week

Break: 30-minute unpaid break daily

Contract Length: 43 weeks (through end of 2027 school year)

Caseload: Approximately 35-40 students if full-time (adjusted for part-time roles)

Setting: High school and transition program (ages 18-22)

Interview Process: In-person interview
Responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
-
Support eligibility determination for special education services
-
Participate in IEP meetings and transition planning
-
Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families
-
Provide consultation and behavioral/mental health support as needed
-
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state requirements
Requirements
-
Active Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement (through age 22 required)

School-based psychology experience preferred
-
Experience with transition-age students preferred
-
Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements
