Quoting Specialist (Woodridge)

About the Role

The Quoting role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy and operations, responsible for developing accurate, data-driven quotes for our customers. You will partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and finance to build comprehensive cost models and support pricing decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in growing into supply chain, business development, or account management.

What You’ll Do

Quotation Development

• Prepare accurate and timely customer quotes based on product specifications and requirements
• Translate RFQs (requests for quote) into detailed cost models and pricing proposals

Cost Analysis & Modeling

• Build and maintain cost models incorporating BOMs (bill of materials), labor, overhead, and engineering inputs
• Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost optimization or margin improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance to gather inputs and validate assumptions
• Coordinate timelines and ensure alignment across teams during the quoting process

Pricing Strategy Support

• Support development of pricing strategies aligned with company margin targets and market conditions
• Provide data-driven recommendations on pricing decisions

Customer & Sales Support

• Work closely with sales/account management to clarify customer requirements and quote details
• Assist in responding to customer inquiries related to pricing and product feasibility

Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Good organizational skills and ability to successfully work with team members across many different functional areas including Sales/Business Development, Account Management, Accounting and Finance, Production, and Engineering.
• Active interest in learning more and growing within Supply Chain, Business Development/Sales, or Account Management.
• Analytical mindset – able to assemble data and turn information into action
