RN Supervisor - ENT, Plastic Surgery, Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Center

Overview: The Nurse Supervisor maintains accountability for daily operations and delivery of patient care through supervising, leading, and mentoring staff. Serves as a professional leader, role model and resource to department staff, and assists with personnel actions, staff development, evaluation and counseling/coaching. Responsibilities:

Manages daily nursing activities of Patient Care Department(s) in conjunction with patient care manager.
Performs essential job functions of direct reports.
Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues.
Participates in development, planning and monitoring of fiscal budget(s).
Assists in development and review of department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies.
Ensure appropriate staffing for patient care including RN, LPN, CMA and MA staff roles.

Oversees daily patient care.

Prepares, delivers and evaluates staff educational needs to ensure quality patient care and outcomes.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $41per hour - $70.52per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
