Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for interpreting blueprints or work orders, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and performing basic inspections to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings.
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies.
• Read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Operate power tools including drills, impact wrenches, and pneumatic torque wrenches.

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment.
• Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics.
• Proficiency in using shop equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, including fractions and decimals.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in English.

• High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The facility is a medium-sized operation with 60 employees, manufacturing everything from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. It is a clean, modernly designed facility with comfortable temperatures for working.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
