Our company is looking for an experienced Janitor/Custodian to join our team.

Description

· Multiple Shifts: 8:00 AM through 9:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

· Location: Multiple Locations

The Janitor/Custodian reflects the mission, vision, and values of Earnest Janitorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Available for various shifts at multiple customer sites. Responsible for meeting customer needs and exceeding customer expectations. Works with management to support and communicate staffing issues/changes and oversees that site work is performed safely and effectively. Completes daily quality control inspections to ensure the work meets customer requirements and company standards. Acts as the customers point of contact for site. Work may be performed in business off hours including evenings.

Qualifications

· Driver’s License required.

· High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred

· Strong attention to detail.

· Previous custodial supervision experience preferred.

· Ability to frequently lift, push and slide items that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• OSHA requirements for general industry
• Building and/or janitorial and maintenance operations
• Microsoft Office programs to include, but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Superb client/customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively independently or with a team.
• Proper knowledge of equipment and cleaning products
• Neatness of uniforms and proper grooming always

Duties/Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and meetings as required.
• Remove cobwebs, dust vents and light fixtures.
• Vacuum carpeted surfaces.
• Scrub and/or mop hard surface floors with appropriate cleaners.
• Clean windows and windowsills
• Collect trash and replace garbage liners, cleans garbage receptacles as required.
• Dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, and accessible surfaces as required.
• Wash and disinfect toilets, urinals, faucets, sinks, in restrooms.
• Wipe down mirrors and glass fixtures.
• Wash and disinfect sinks, toilet walls and partitions.
• Sanitize doorknobs, door handles & light switches.
• Restock all restroom supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and soap dispensers as required.
• Report all potential hazards, unsafe acts, practices, or conditions observe during shift.
• Upon completion of work, return all equipment and supplies to janitor closet.
• Maintain janitor closet in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Perform required janitorial/specialty work (floor buffing, carpet cleaning, windows, etc.)
• Document and report issues regarding safety/security, building maintenance, damage equipment, or any other pertinent issues.
• Transport supplies and equipment to different locations on workdays.
• Ensure proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
• Always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Overall knowledge of equipment and cleaning solutions is necessary as well as rigid adherence to established housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Utilize employee app to log in and out of shifts.
• Return all keys and pagers to supervisor at the end of shift.

Physical Demands:

• The Janitor/Custodian position is a physically demanding position. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, lifting heavy objects in multiple locations.
• Management has the exclusive tight to alter the scope of work within the framework of the job description at any time without prior notice.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
