Sales Manager
Award-winning freight forwarder is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to enhance and grow their small package division. This individual should have a book of relationships and a passion for coaching others and closing business.
Position Highlights:
Evaluate small parcel division and propose improvements to services and processes.
Create budget and targets for sales representatives.
Self-generate new import and export business, as well as help sales team close new accounts.
Examine rates for competitiveness.
Track all activities in CRM and monitor progress.
Achieve targets for volume/revenue/profit.
Respond to rate requests, RFQs, RFIs, and bids.
Follow market conditions, trends, and developments.
Represent Company professionally at industry events.
Collaborate with operations on SOP creation.
Address shortfalls and lost business with urgency.
Requirements:
8-10 years of relevant experience in logistics.
Recent success in small package/parcel delivery sales. Relationships with companies in surrounding market.
Understanding of international cargo transportation.
Desire to lead, improve, and succeed in sales.
Continuous pipeline of opportunities to develop.
Willingness to travel for Company and client meetings.
Effective presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
