Location: Elgin, IL
Employment Type: 6 Month Contract Position
Pay: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do:

• Manage customer receivables with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring all payments and credits are properly applied
• Post and process cash receipts, assist with invoicing, and help reconcile customer accounts
• Support collections efforts on past due accounts and respond to customer account requests
• Assist with processing invoices and credits diligently to maintain billing accuracy
• Provide audit support by handling related documentation and requests
• Ensure all unapplied documents are managed within a 30-day window, maintaining effective account management
• Collaborate with department leadership on deliverables and process improvements
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Accounting and Finance team

Required Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, to analyze and manage data efficiently
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in account reconciliation and posting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with cash application processes and bank deposits
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 1-2 years of accounting or Finance-related experience preferred
• A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work onsite at the company's headquarters in Elgin, Illinois
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based tasks comfortably
