Knowledge & Innovation Specialist
- Manage Knowledge Processes: Ensures the existing knowledge systems are operating effectively and efficiently; performs regular audits and updates as necessary
- Enhance Knowledge Processes: Identifies areas within the current knowledge processes that can be optimized; implements changes and improvements to enhance productivity and knowledge sharing
- Govern Legal Tech Tools: Maintains, manages and enhances tools like Litera Desktop and Litera Foundation/Insights; acts as the main point person for the firm, and the subject matter expert
- Utilize Generative AI Tools: Leverages tools such as Copilot, Cocounsel, to streamline and automate various knowledge management tasks
- Support Adoption Team: Collaborates with the adoption team to review and analyze metrics related to tool and process adoption; develops strategies and initiatives to increase adoption rates firm wide
- Manage Usage: Monitors the usage of legal tech tools and systems to ensure they are being used to their full potential
- Manage Usage Monitoring: Utilizes PowerBi to create and manage dashboards and key metrics to align with business initiatives
- Manage Automated Processes: Manages process workflows built in Power Automate to continue enhancing processes
- Manage Firm Intranet/Extranets via SharePoint: Leads the management and maintenance of the firm's intranet and extranets to ensure they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and effectively support knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Vendor Relationships: Serves as the primary point of contact for vendor partners
- External Partnerships: Develops and maintains relationships with external partners and implementation consultants for current processes
- Education: Proven experience in managing knowledge processes within a law firm; familiarity with legal practices and procedures; Bachelor’s degree in law, or a related field or JD is a plus
- Experience: Some experience in knowledge management, legal technology, or a related field
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in legal tech tools such as Copilot, CoCounsel, Litera Desktop, and Litera Foundation; knowledge of SharePoint, Power Apps, PowerBi or Power Automate is a plus; those who are not already skilled in these areas will be expected to learn and become a subject matter expert
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to review metrics and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, stakeholders and external partners
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage and maintain productive relationships with vendors and external partners
- Innovation: A proactive and innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and staying up to date with the latest legal tech trends
