At Powers & Moon, LLC, we are dedicated to providing high-quality services to our health care provider clients to resolve medical claims relating to workers’ injuries. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workers’ Compensation Account Manager to join our team.

Position Summary

The Workers’ Comp. Acct. Mgr. plays a key role in all aspects of account management of workers’ compensation medical claims from our medical provider clients to make sure that our client’s bills are included and paid correctly. This position requires accurate and timely documentation, excellent communication skills and seamless service delivery between the provider, patients, attorneys and all work comp carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a main point of contact for all workers’ compensation-related accounts
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, attorneys, employers and patients to obtain billing updates and ensure that all billing requirements are communicated and met
• Assure all required documentation (work status reports, medical records, billing information) is accurate and delivered promptly
• Track work comp cases and assist with resolution and payment of accounts
• Maintain and update internal systems with case information and communications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree and preferred
• 2+ years experience in a medical office or workers’ compensation setting required
• Knowledge of state workers’ compensation laws, terminology, and processes
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage numerous accounts simultaneously
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation and coding
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• ABA paralegal certification a plus
