Job description:

Position Overview:

• Title: Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
• Location: Centreville, IL 62207
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Includes every other weekend and holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate nursing care during hospitalization (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and oversee other personnel involved in client care.
• Provide direct patient care when required.
• Administer and record medications per policy.
• Monitor patients continuously for safety and contraband.
• Conduct group therapies as assigned.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.
• Document accurately and promptly.
• Support orientation, in-service training, and staff evaluations.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and patient rights.
• Adapt to changes in assignments and environment.

• Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• License: Active Illinois RN license
• Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Certifications:
• BLS/BCLS
• CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) – required
• EMR: Meditech
