The Role

The primary responsibility of this position is overseeing the Insurance accounting team. This includes preparation and review of journal entries, oversight of accounting for balance sheet account reconciliations, billings, financial statement analytics, and accumulation of details utilized to compile the quarterly statement of cash flows and footnote disclosures. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the enhancement of internal controls and participating in special projects that improve or streamline accounting processes

•Preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and other requested details used for financial reporting.

•Fielding and resolving inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors.

•Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls.

•Preparation of quarterly and annual external reporting schedules, such as those related to cash flows and footnotes.

•Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

•3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or another equivalent business/financial role

Experience Preferred:

•Certified Public Accountant

•Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office

•Financial ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion)

The salary range for this position is $78,500 to $106,500. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
