Strength and Speed Coordinator (Football)
North Park University, a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, is seeking applicants for the position of Strength and Speed Coordinator for football. Candidates must be certified in strength and conditioning, CSCS preferred, and be able to coach and recruit a positional group. Position flexibility exists, as the Strength and Speed component will drive the hire. This twelve-month, full-time position is responsible for designing, and implementing a comprehensive, year-round strength and conditioning program for football only and assisting the head coach with all phases of an NCAA Division III football program.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive, year-round strength and conditioning program for football, with an emphasis placed on proper technique, athlete safety, mobility, and injury prevention.
- Analyze performance and instruct athletes in football techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
- Assist with all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
- Will serve as a position coach, with the specific position to be assigned following evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
- Execute practice and game planning/evaluation.
- Ensure commitment to the academic success of football student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community. • Participate in fundraising and development events and be highly visible in the community.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strength and Conditioning certification is required, preferably CSCS.
- Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of football are required.
- Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
- Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
Salary for this position is up to $50,000 - $54,000, depending on experience.
