• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (06:45 - 15:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per month
• On-call Requirement: Approximately 1 per week
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Charting System: Cerner
• Parking: Free with permit
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,450 - $2,510

Registered Nurse Qualifications – Operating Room RN Jobs

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (Level I trauma experience required)
• General OR and trauma nursing experience required
• Experience in bariatric, general surgery, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, urology, and trauma cases
• Emergency management skills: code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia
• Proficiency with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables
• Professional knowledge in blood product administration, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol, urinary bladder catheterization
• Active Illinois RN license (or in application process)
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)
• CNOR and CST certifications preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers not accepted

OR RN Responsibilities – Springfield, IL Nursing Jobs

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical cases (excluding cardiovascular)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Participate in emergency management and trauma response
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols
• Ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling
• Adhere to universal protocol and time-out procedures
• Support organ donation and transplant procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical equipment and instrumentation
