Company: $70B Publicly Traded Company
Location: Chicago area (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time
Job Overview
The Senior AI Security Risk Engineer & Business Partner is a business-facing security role that partners with business leaders, security, and technology teams to ensure AI is integrated responsibly across the enterprise. This role focuses on helping the business understand the functionality and capabilities of AI components within tools, translating them into clear business terms, and assessing associated risks. It is not a development role but a strategic position at the intersection of AI business alignment and security oversight.
You will engage directly with leaders enterprise-wide to evaluate proposed AI use cases, clarify vague or complex requirements, and ensure the business understands both the opportunities and risks. As AI components are deployed, you will validate that they operate within the approved scope, identify when functionality expands or shifts, and reassess risks to maintain compliance and security.
Success in this role requires the ability to articulate technical AI concepts in a way that senior business leaders can clearly understand, ensuring secure, compliant, and effective use of AI across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience in data security, including DLP, control validation, application security, or API security
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, interpret, and translate requirements
- Solid understanding of language models, with the ability to evaluate their business applicability and articulate potential risks and benefits
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Benefits:
- Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance coverage
- Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with a competitive company match
- Additional benefits designed to support your overall well-being and work-life balance
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $160,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
