Associate Specialist, Financial Control, Hedge Fund Services

Major Duties:

• Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and business knowledge and functional expertise (e.g. tax, regulatory)
• Review of monthly fund and business entity closing summaries or other client data as applicable.
• Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to our clients and their investors.
• Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures as applicable.
• Interact with clients and other Hedge Fund Services teams to obtain understanding of funds¿ activities.
• Prepare financial statements for funds as applicable.
• Work directly with external auditors to ensure accuracy of each fund¿s annual financial statements as applicable.
• Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
• Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
• Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.

Knowledge:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change
• Technical skills / systems knowledge is required

Experience:

• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
