Imaging Manager - Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound

Overview: The Imaging Manager manages clinical operations of specific areas of the Imaging Department including, but not limited to, equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions. Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.
• Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services
• Ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing Imaging services
• Provides resolution of customer complaints or problems. 
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve problems

 

• Provides advice concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment. 
• Assumes responsibility for personnel related duties that include interviewing, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, scheduling paid leave, and enforcing required rules and regulations. 
• Monitors employee performance
• Ensures timely communications for goal setting, performance evaluations, wages increases and continued personnel actions. 
• Ensure all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current.

 

• Ensure that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use. 
• Develops budget recommendations and monitors budget activities 
• Manages Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
• Oversees operational budget for:
  • Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
• Oversees capital equipment purchases for:
  • Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professional
• Develops best practices with radiologists and interdisciplinary assistance for:
  • Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
• Monitors quality for
  • Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals

Qualifications:

Certifications:

• Registered in Radiography (R) or 
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or 
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or 
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine or 
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography 

 

Education:

• Associate's Degree: Related Field or 
• Certificate of Completion: Related Field

 

Work Experience:

• Related field - 2 years

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $46.13per hour - $79.34per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
