Senior Transportation Analyst
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Create dashboards and reports for operational and financial metrics (e.g., fuel consumption, carrier performance, freight spend).
- System & Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance data extraction from multiple systems and demonstrate proficiency in other software tools. Map and document current, end-to-end transportation processes.
- Strategic Planning: Support business strategies through network optimization, carrier performance, and project management. Develop business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and project proposals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the liaison between business units, IT, and external partners (carriers, vendors).
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, such as on-time delivery, to ensure compliance and quality.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, RPA, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint).
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of logistics, transportation modes (TL, LTL, Ocean, Air), and supply chain principles.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to management and resolve operational issues.
- Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience.
