Rental & Delivery Fueling Technician

We are seeking a Rental & Delivery Fueling Technician to support generator rental operations based out of Romeoville, IL. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to build a long-term career in power generation. In this role, you’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team delivering, fueling, maintaining, and supporting rental generators in the field. The company provides hands-on training in preventive maintenance, fueling operations, and—over time—generator startups and installations.

Position Offers

What You’ll Do

• Deliver, fuel, pick up, and relocate rental generators at customer sites

• Perform basic preventive maintenance (oil changes, fuel filters, inspections)

• Assist with generator startups and installations as skills develop

• Yard organization and equipment staging

• Material handling, shipping, and receiving

• Safely tow trailers and transport equipment

• Manage parts inventory on service truck

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicle

• Attend safety meetings and technical training sessions

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• DOT Medical Card (preferred)

• Experience towing and pulling trailers

• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical background

• Diesel engine or generator experience is a plus

• Strong customer service and communication skills
