Join a stable, 30+ year precision manufacturer in Batavia, IL as a direct-hire, 1st shift CNC professional producing and rebuilding custom components for packaging and roll stock machinery.

What you’ll tackle

• Set up and operate Haas and Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision parts
• Write, edit, and adjust programs from engineering drawings and job travelers
• Run secondary operations like deburring, light grinding, drilling, and tapping
• Inspect with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other basic tools
• Hold quality by making tool and wear offsets and monitoring in-process features
• Surface and solve issues with machinists or engineering when they arise
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized; support other shop areas to maintain flow
• Work a steady Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime

Who succeeds here

• Minimum 1 year of CNC lathe/turning experience in a shop environment
• Can read blueprints and follow job travelers
• Uses measurement tools confidently and accurately
• Understands decimals and metric math
• Can lift up to 40 lbs and stand for the full shift
• Comfortable in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Holds a high school diploma or GED
• Can read and write in English

Extra points

• 1–2 years of CNC turning
• Haas or Mazak experience
• Mastercam or conversational programming (Mazatrol) exposure
• Background machining parts for packaging equipment or rebuilds
• Interest in learning additional machines/operations
