We are pioneers in the direct trade model for buying coffee and creating coffee partnerships all over the world. We’re passionate about coffee, and that means we pay a bit more for coffee in order to buy direct and create long-term, collaborative relationships with our producers that grow exceptional coffee.
The starting wage for a Barista in Monadnock is $16.96/hr. There is an extensive training program and a new hire generally should become full-bar capable within 90 days. After certification, the pay rate improves to $18.66/hr. The position is eligible for tips. These average $5.00 -7.00/hr.
Baristas in our Chicago coffeebars are part of the IBEW Local 1220 union. After a probationary period, employees are required to join the union and pay monthly dues.

Most shifts average about 7 hours. That means you’ll have time to live your life and pursue your passions.
Our coffeebars are not open late night like most of the hospitality industry is. That means you still have a chance to meet up with friends after work and not miss out on the fun!

Job duties:
Operationally, adhere to policies, safety standards and protocols, and make suggestions for improving operations
Prepare and serve beverages that adhere to our freshness and quality standards
Maintain your coffee knowledge to educate and communicate with guests
Engage with all guests in a hospitable, sincere and friendly manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is preferred
Speak and read English proficiently
Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
Can effectively communicate with others
Able to learn and master coffee tasting profiles and dial-ins
Good teamwork skills
Able to multi-task and work in a high-volume environment
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear
The employee is required to stand, walk, and sit on a continual basis. Will periodically stoop, kneel or crouch.
Will use hands to reach, carry, hold items, or use the tablet/register
May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Retail store environment
Noise level is normally moderate
