What You’ll Do:
- Manage customer accounts to ensure timely invoice payments
- Conduct collection calls and follow up on outstanding balances
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Process and apply customer payments accurately
- Investigate and resolve customer returns, pricing discrepancies, and short payments
- Process credits, price adjustments, and reconcile deductions
- Generate and distribute invoices with precision and timeliness
- Maintain accurate customer records and perform high-volume data entry
- Support administrative tasks, including reporting, reconciliation, and file organization
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or related accounting experience (food manufacturing/distribution experience a plus)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and basic formulas preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding payment issues
- Self-motivated with strong follow-through and accountability
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Customer-service mindset and team-oriented approach
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in food manufacturing or distribution sectors
- Spanish language skills are a strong plus but not required
Educational & Experience Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Over two years of relevant work experience
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to handle high-volume data entry with accuracy
